Memorial Day Parade Recap
On Monday, May 26, 2014, the Victory Thunderettes "ROCKED" the Matteson Memorial Day Parade and kept the spectators "Fired Up" in beautiful weather! It was so exciting hearing and seeing the marching band performances, seeing friends and neighbors, and marching in the procession with the Village Mayor and Trustees. For our gems who experienced being in a parade for the very first time, it was truly a moment to remember.
A huge "Thank You" is extended to all of our Coaches and Parent Volunteers who assisted in maintaining the safety and well being of our precious Gems throughout the parade festivities.

Get Ready to CHEER!
If your child is currently in grades 3-7, she is eligible to register for our Competitive Cheer Team. Participants will learn a choreographed dance and cheer routine with tumbling and stunt formations.
The cost for registration is $275 (a $75 deposit is needed to secure your child's space on the Team). Checks should be made payable to Victory Apostolic Church (please reference Cheerleading with your child's name on the memo line).
Teams will practice from July through November. Competition Performance events will be held between October and November. The IRCA State Competition is held in early December. An informational Parent Meeting providing more details will be held on Wednesday, June 7th at Victory Apostolic Church.

Registration for the Victory Thunderettes Cheerleading Fall Performance Team for grades Pre-K - 8th
Team Members learn exciting sideline cheers and halftime routines each week for our Victory Thunder Basketball teams. Practice begins in November, and will be held on Wednesday evenings beginning at 6:30pm. Performances are held weekly (January - March) on Fridays or Saturdays depending on team level.
No prior experience is needed to participate on the team. Returning team members could receive an incentive of over 50% off the total cost of new member registration*. A deposit is needed to secure your child's space on the team.

Youth disciples for Christ are on display at Victory Everyday!
Victory Apostolic Church has several ways to reach the youth of the Matteson and surrounding suburban community including: Youth Church, Sunday School and Bible Study, Youth and Teen Choirs, Girl Scouts, Praise Dance, Kung Fu, SRT-Silver Ring Thing Teen Abstinence Ministry, Young Ladies of R.U.T.H. Mentoring, Abba Father Male Mentoring, Summer Camp, and the S.P.O.R.T.S. Ministry.

Spring Fling 2014 Recap
On Saturday, April 26, 2014, Victory Thunderettes celebrated the 2013-2014 season at the Spring Fling Luncheon, which was held at the Clubhouse at Fountain Hills Golf Club in Alsip, IL.
Guests were served a feast of chicken, roast beef, mostaccioli and meatballs, mashed potatoes, and corn. There was cake and ice cream for dessert. Special remarks were made by Pastor Singleton, and Coach Kesha McGee was our Mistress of Ceremonies. Our Gems received beautiful trophies and awards, and we recognized our Coaches and Team Parents. Guests were entertained by a slideshow which recapped the season, along with the fantastic DJ "E-Nikki", who pumped up the tunes for the dance party. A fantastic time was had by everyone in attendance.
A huge Thank You goes out to our event planner, Coach Cassandra Jenkins and Coach Kesha McGee.

Our Gems "SHINE" all throughout the year! Here's news on how some of our Precious Pearls, Radiant Rubies, Stellar Sapphires, Elegant Emeralds, and Dazzling Diamonds make us proud!
Nothing is more exciting than to hear our Children express the power of God in their lives and pray. Please encourage your children to remember their scriptures each week for devotion, and to pray for one another.
